As you may know, Mike has been serving as interim principal this year and had been an assistant principal at WRHS for nine years. This year, Mike has dealt with some very challenging situations, which he has handled skillfully, professionally, and always in the best interest of students.<\/p>\n<p>The selection of a principal to lead a school of over 2,000 students and staff is an extremely important endeavor. As such, we conducted a thorough selection process that was driven by invested students, staff, parents, and community members. We were thrilled that more than 325 stakeholders provided preliminary feedback through surveys, and 36 stakeholders participated in interviews. Through multiple interview rounds, these stakeholders questioned candidates and ranked them in order of preference. At the end of this process, it was abundantly clear that Mike Pratt is the right person to lead the high school through its next season of change and improvement.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to thank all members of the community who helped in this process.<\/p>\n<p>I would also be remiss if I didn\u2019t express my thanks and appreciation to our outgoing principal, Bill Beando.
