Pulling 4 Paws<\/strong><\/p>\n

PRINCETON \u2014 NEADS World Class Service Dogs, based in Princeton, is looking for teams and sponsors to take part in the NEADS Pulling 4 Paws Truck Pull on Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Polar Park in Worcester. Teams of 15 will put their strength to the test to see who can pull an 18-wheeler the fastest. Already onboard as sponsors are presenting sponsor RAWZ Natural Pet Food; Polar Beverages; Abaris Financial Group; Morgan Stanley; and D\u2019Ambrosio Eye Care.<\/p>\n

The winners score major bragging rights and a trophy, and the team that raises the most overall wins a prize. Participants also help NEADS provide life-changing Service and Assistance Dogs to those who need it most.<\/p>\n

The entry fee is $500, with a recommended fundraising goal of $2,500. The number of teams who can participate is limited, so register as early as possible. Endangered species puppet show<\/strong><\/p>\n

Families and friends of all ages are invited to a special program on endangered species at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Boylston Town House, 599 Main St., Boylston. Life-size puppets created by artist Amanda Gibson will delight the audience with information on the African Painted Dog, the Kakapo, the Vaquita, the Chimpanzee, and the Tiger, and their endangered status. A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Gibson combines her love of storytelling and art to showcase the versatility of puppetry.<\/p>\n

This \u2018Night of Community Spirit\u2019 is sponsored by Worcester Central Pomona, a district Grange, and the local chapters of Central Community, Holden, North Orange, Petersham and Sterling. In addition to the entertainment, a donation of items, the result of a five-month community service foster care project, will be presented to a representative from the Worcester East office of the Department of Children and Families. Door prizes and refreshments will conclude the evening.<\/p>\n

Sterling Grange Sesquicentennial<\/strong><\/p>\n

STERLING \u2014 Sterling Grange is celebrating its 150th Anniversary with a public supper and program at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Sterling Senior Center, 36 Muddy Pond Road. Princeton Arts Society spring show<\/strong><\/p>\n

PRINCETON \u2014 The Princeton Arts Society’s spring show and sale, “Euphoria,” is the perfect opportunity to view inspiring works of art and perhaps add a piece to your personal collection.<\/p>\n

The program will discuss how to minimize or eliminate food waste in your family, especially with kids.
