Local students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average named to the provost&#8217;s list are <strong>Olivia Cwalinski<\/strong> and <strong>Mason Egdall<\/strong> of Holden. Local students named to the dean&#8217;s list with a grade point average of at least 3.5 are <strong>Cooper Cooke<\/strong> and <strong>Skylar Homan<\/strong> of Holden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SNHU president&#8217;s, dean&#8217;s lists<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MANCHESTER, N.H. \u2014 Southern New Hampshire University congratulates the following local students on being named to the fall 2023 president&#8217;s list: <strong>Brian Gagye<\/strong> of Princeton and <strong>Francis Hynes<\/strong>,<strong> Alexis Paquette<\/strong> and <strong>James Hodgerney<\/strong> of Rutland.<\/p>\n<p>The fall terms run from September to December. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the president&#8217;s list. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter\/spring, and summer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vijay Hamilton<\/strong> of Holden was named to SNHU&#8217;s fall 2023 dean&#8217;s list. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the dean&#8217;s list.<\/p>\n<p>SNHU congratulates the following local students on being named to the summer 2023 president&#8217;s list. The summer terms run from May to August: <strong>Betty Remillard<\/strong> of Holden, <strong>Brian Gagye<\/strong> of Princeton, <strong>Alexa Desantis<\/strong> of Rutland and <strong>Alexis Paquette<\/strong> of Rutland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jessica Jardine<\/strong> of Rutland was named to SNHU&#8217;s summer 2023 dean&#8217;s list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Husson Univ. fall 2023 honors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BANGOR, Maine \u2014 Husson University is pleased to celebrate the academic achievements of local students recently named to the president&#8217;s, dean&#8217;s and honors lists for the fall 2023 semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.<\/p>\n<p>Full-time students who earn President&#8217;s List, Dean&#8217;s List and Honors List recognition must be enrolled as an undergraduate student, carry a full-time load of 12 credit hours, complete all attempted courses in the time allotted for the semester, and achieve a designated semester grade-point average. Dean&#8217;s list: <strong>Colin Richardson<\/strong> of Rutland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WPI Intensive Research Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WORCESTER \u2014 At Worcester Polytechnic Institute, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology that addresses an important societal need or issue. A signature element of the innovative undergraduate experience at WPI, the project-based curriculum offers students the opportunity to apply their scientific and technical knowledge to develop thoughtful solutions to real problems that affect the quality of people&#8217;s lives-and make a difference before they graduate.<\/p>\n<p>The following local students have completed intensive research projects:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brendan May<\/strong> of Rutland, majoring in biomedical engineering, class of 2025, completed <em>Envisioning Future Applications for Simtable Technologies<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Cox<\/strong> of Sterling, majoring in biomedical engineering, class of 2025, completed <em>Coastal Erosion Mitigation on Nantucket<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sophie Brochu<\/strong> of Princeton, majoring in aerospace engineering, class of 2026, completed M<em>onitoring Parking at Logan Pass.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Dillon<\/strong> of Rutland, majoring in computer science and professional writing, class of 2025, completed <em>Portraits of ECD Resources Across Cape Town Communities.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ashley Hutchings<\/strong> of Rutland, majoring in chemical engineering, class of 2025, completed <em>MADEP Nitrogen Loading Regulations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jared Bailey<\/strong>, majoring in industrial engineering, class of 2025, was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense research project titled <em>A Multimedia Celebration of 35 Years of Research in Venice<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nichols College Advisory Council<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>DUDLEY \u2014 <strong>Chris Charity<\/strong> of Holden is one of 26 students appointed by Nichols College Interim President Bill Pieczynski to the 2023-2024 Nichols Senior Advisory Council.<\/p>\n<p>This group of 26 seniors, who have played significant leadership roles in the Nichols community, will meet with the president and members of the Cabinet monthly and act as an advisory group as the college plans for the future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WORCESTER \u2014 <strong>Liam Martin<\/strong> of Sterling has been inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society at College of the Holy Cross, the Jesuit honor society founded in 1915. Martin is one of 31 new inductees this year, who exemplify the society&#8217;s values of excellence in scholarship, loyalty and service.<\/p>\n<p>Selection to Alpha Sigma Nu is one of the highest honors that can be given on a Jesuit campus. Candidates for membership are selected from the top 15 percent of their class, and from this group membership will be awarded to only 4 percent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elmira College Key Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ELMIRA, N.Y. \u2014 <strong>Alyssa Senecal<\/strong> of Rutland received the Elmira College Key Award for academic and community leadership. A tradition that goes back to 1935, the EC Key Award is presented to outstanding students in their junior year of high school or preparatory school.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the award was given to 783 students in 16 states. Recipients receive an $80,000 scholarship over a four-year period, $20,000 per year, upon enrolling at Elmira College.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lehigh Univ. dean&#8217;s list <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BETHLEHEM, Pa. \u2014 Dean&#8217;s list status, which is awarded to Lehigh University students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses, has been granted to <strong>Elijah Robbins<\/strong> of Holden in the Fall 2023 semester.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Belmont Univ. dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NASHVILLE, Tenn. \u2014 <strong>Mikayla Philbin<\/strong> of Sterling qualified for Belmont University&#8217;s fall 2023 dean&#8217;s list. Approximately 52 percent of Belmont&#8217;s 7,338 undergraduate students qualified. Dean&#8217;s list eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seton Hall Univ. dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. \u2014 Seton Hall University named <strong>Lara Woodin<\/strong> of Holden to the spring 2023 dean&#8217;s list. After the close of every semester, undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than &#8220;C,&#8221; qualify for the dean&#8217;s list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clark Univ. spring dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WORCESTER \u2014 <strong>William H. Brown<\/strong> of Holden, was named to first honors on the Clark University dean&#8217;s list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2023 semester.<\/p>\n<p><strong>St. Lawrence Univ. dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CANTON, N.Y. \u2014 <strong>Liz Hart<\/strong> of Princeton was named to St. Lawrence University&#8217;s dean&#8217;s list for achieving academic excellence during the spring 2023 semester. Hart is a member of the class of 2023 and is majoring in environmental studies-English.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curry College dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MILTON \u2014 Curry College congratulates roughly 900 students who were named to the spring 2023 dean&#8217;s list. Local students earning the distinction were: <strong>Keegan Greene<\/strong>, <strong>Kate Hancock<\/strong> and <strong>Morgan O&#8217;Brien<\/strong> of Holden; and <strong>Colman Dyer<\/strong> of Sterling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clarkson Univ. dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>POTSDAM, N.Y. \u2014 <strong>Daniel Edward Philbin<\/strong> of Sterling, a senior majoring in chemical engineering, was named to the dean&#8217;s list for the fall 2023 semester at Clarkson University. Dean&#8217;s list students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plymouth State Univ. president&#8217;s, dean&#8217;s lists<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PLYMOUTH, N.H. \u2014 The following local students have been named to Plymouth State University&#8217;s president&#8217;s list for the Fall 2023 semester: <strong>Camilla Puzio<\/strong> of Holden, <strong>Madison Senecal<\/strong> and <strong>Athena Comeau<\/strong> of Rutland, and <strong>Craig Martin<\/strong> of Sterling. To be named to the president&#8217;s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.70 or better for the semester and must have completed at least 12 credit hours during the semester, at least nine of which must confer grade points, at the time the lists are finalized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jackson Ploof<\/strong> of Sterling has been named to the Plymouth State University dean&#8217;s list for the fall 2023 semester. To be named to the dean&#8217;s list, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.69 during the semester and must have completed at least 12 credit hours during the semester, at least nine of which must confer grade points, at the time the lists are finalized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roger Williams Univ. dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BRISTOL, R.I. \u2014 Select students have been named to the fall 2023 dean&#8217;s list at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the dean&#8217;s list that semester.<\/p>\n<p>Local students named to the list are <strong>Ryan Carroll<\/strong> and <strong>Macayla McDonald<\/strong> of Holden; <strong>John Ahlin<\/strong> of Paxton; <strong>Emmit Pelonzi<\/strong> of Princeton; <strong>Benjamin Auger<\/strong>, <strong>Patrick McGugan<\/strong>, <strong>Cameron Ridgewell<\/strong> and <strong>Susan Yang<\/strong> of Rutland; and <strong>Hailey Gogos<\/strong> of Sterling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Univ. of Connecticut dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following local students were named to the dean\u2019s list at the University of Connecticut for the fall 2023 semester: <strong>Nathan Heroux<\/strong>, <strong>Tucker McDonald<\/strong> and <strong>Sylvia Rhyee<\/strong> of Holden;<strong> Alexia Linton<\/strong> of Paxton; and <strong>Elly Hume<\/strong> of Princeton.<\/p>\n<p><strong>St. Anselm College spring 2023 dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MANCHESTER, N.H. \u2014 Saint Anselm College released the dean&#8217;s list of high academic achievers for the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year. To be eligible for this honor, a student must have achieved a grade point average of 3.4 or better in the semester with at least 12 credits of study which award a letter grade. A total of 557 students representing 24 states and 5 countries received this honor.<\/p>\n<p>The following local students were named to the dean&#8217;s list: <strong>Ashley Beriau<\/strong> and <strong>Colin Moran<\/strong> of Holden; <strong>Mary Morkunas<\/strong> of Paxton; <strong>Jacob Nadeau<\/strong> of Rutland; and <strong>Isabelle Ortiz<\/strong> of Sterling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quinnipiac Univ. dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>HAMDEN, Conn. \u2014 The following area students were named to the dean&#8217;s list for the Fall 2023 semester at Quinnipiac University:<strong> Andrew Croce<\/strong>, <strong>Dennis Jardine<\/strong> and <strong>Abigail Pousland<\/strong> of Holden; <strong>Ashlynn Witt<\/strong> of Princeton; and <strong>Cameron Carlson<\/strong> of Rutland.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the dean&#8217;s list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marquette Univ. dean&#8217;s list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MILWAUKEE \u2014 <strong>Bella Philbin<\/strong> of Sterling has been named to the dean&#8217;s list for the fall 2023 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Philbin is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. To make the dean&#8217;s list, students must have earned at least 12 credits for the fall 2023 semester and have no disqualifying grades. The GPA threshold varies by college.
