A <strong>Special State Senate Primary<\/strong> is scheduled for <strong>Tuesday, Oct. 10,<\/strong> to fill Sen. Ann Gobi\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n<p>New residents may <strong>register to vote<\/strong> during regular Town Hall hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon. The last day to register to vote is Saturday, Sept. 30, when the town clerk\u2019s office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>New residents may also register to vote by mail. Forms are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sec.state.ma.us\/ele\/eleifv\/howreg.htm\">http:\/\/www.sec.state.ma.us\/ele\/eleifv\/howreg.htm<\/a>, or call the town clerk\u2019s office and request a form be mailed to you. Complete the form in full and return it to the town clerk\u2019s office, 1196 Main St., by Saturday, Sept. 30<em>.<\/em> The completed voter registration form can either be placed in the red and white drop box, mailed or hand delivered to the Town Clerk\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>A new voter registering by mail or through the Registry of Motor Vehicles will receive a written acknowledgment from the town clerk\u2019s office within 10 days of receipt of the completed form.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, call the town clerk\u2019s office at 508-210-5530.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HOLDEN \u2014 Attention Holden residents.
