RUTLAND \u2014<\/span> The Heart of New England Council Charity Golf Tournament, which took place Aug. 4, generated a record revenue of more than $50,000 for the Central Massachusetts based nonprofit. More than 130 participants enjoyed a day of camaraderie and competition at Juniper Hill Golf Course, Northborough, in support of the Boy Scout organization.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The tournament boasted a silent auction with an array of offerings such as a Martha\u2019s Vineyard getaway, a Florida resort stay, a wine tasting package, Boston Red Sox tickets, and a selection of golf merchandise. Activities during the round included a \u201cClosest to the Pin\u201d competition where the winner received an all-inclusive resort getaway, a \u201cHickory Challenge\u201d involving the use of replica hickory clubs, and other skill-testing contests. Many attendees walked away with fantastic prizes made possible through generous in-kind donations from a variety of event supporters.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day of fellowship and fun was made possible through the generous support of the event\u2019s primary sponsors, including Avidia Bank, Caf\u00e9 Services, Capital Group Properties, Creedon & Company, Enterprise Bank, Polar Beverages, Unibank, and the Worcester Bravehearts. Other generous partners included Cornerstone Bank, First Financial Trust, The Gutierrez Co., SkiWithCharlie.com<\/a>, Un1f1ed\u00b2 Global Packaging Group, Wellesley Police Department, WIN Waste Innovations, and the Worcester Red Sox Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their dedication and continuing partnership represent a high-water mark for our efforts to help young people become the best version of themselves.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
