{"id":44592,"date":"2023-06-22T06:00:20","date_gmt":"2023-06-22T10:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thelandmark.com\/?p=44592"},"modified":"2023-06-22T06:00:20","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T10:00:20","slug":"pleasant-view-grows-into-sterling-greenery-too","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devcherryroad.com\/news2\/2023\/06\/22\/pleasant-view-grows-into-sterling-greenery-too\/","title":{"rendered":"Pleasant View grows into Sterling Greenery Too"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Ken Cleveland<br \/>\nLandmark correspondent<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">PAXTON \u2014 Sterling Greenery Too has expanded Sterling Greenery by adding the former Pleasant View Nursery at 242 Pleasant St., bringing the company into the Paxton area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Sterling business run by Mark and Karen Packard has grown as the business provided services to customers in the Sterling area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe started out as a landscape company back in 1996, then bought Sterling Greenery in 2001, and just recently took over Pleasant View Nursery in April 2023,\u201d Mark Packard said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cOver the past 23 years, we have been perfecting equipment, policies and procedures to create the best possible experience in our industry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cPaxton is a perfect location for us because it was just outside our existing service area. It will enable us to bring our high quality products and service to a whole new area. Most of our current suppliers will service our Paxton location as well, so we will be able to offer everything we offer in Sterling including plants, mulch, stone, water plants, pond supplies, fish and more,\u201d Packard said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">With the retirement of Pleasant View Nursery owner Hank Kennen, who opened the business as a small landscape maintenance business more than 30 years ago, Mark and Karen Packard opted to expand their family business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe will be building inventory every week as the season continues, and we look forward to being the area\u2019s most trusted supplier for all landscaping needs. We will also be offering our $49 Mobile Landscape Design Service called Plant Nerds. Sterling Greenery Too is currently offering free delivery to Paxton for all bulk materials including mulch, stone, loam and compost,\u201d he said proudly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cSterling Greenery has been named the most revolutionary garden center multiple years in a row, and was named a model business for supporting a community by the Sterling Finance Committee.
