The parade stops first at St. Mary\u2019s Cemetery, where Taps will be played. Next stop is Grove Cemetery, then Park Avenue Cemetery and Main Street Cemetery. Taps will be played at those cemeteries as well.<\/p>\n<p><b>Paxton<\/b><\/p>\n<p>PAXTON \u2014 The annual Memorial Day Parade &amp; Ceremony will be held on Monday, May 29. Starting at 8:30 a.m., join Boy Scout Pack 105 for the pancake breakfast at the Congregation Church. At 10 a.m., the parade from the Public Safety Building to the town common takes place, with the ceremony immediately following.<\/p>\n<p>After the ceremony, join American Legion Post 306 in paying respect (gun salute) at each of the three cemeteries in town: Old Cemetery behind Congregational Church; Mooreland Cemetery at the WWII Memorial; and Worcester County Memorial Park.<\/p>\n<p>American Legion Post 306 invites everyone to the Legion Hall for a luncheon following the last gun salute at WCMP.<\/p>\n<p>In the event of rain, the ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. in the Paxton Center School cafetorium.<\/p>\n<p><b>Princeton<\/b><\/p>\n<p>PRINCETON \u2014 The town\u2019s Memorial Day Parade and observances will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 28.<\/p>\n<p>Join the town to honor and remember those Princeton residents who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.<\/p>\n<p>The initial observance will be on the steps of the First Congregational Church, 14 Mountain Road, followed by parade to Woodlawn Cemetery, with final observance on the lower common.<\/p>\n<p>Veterans and their families are invited to a reception at First Congregational following the observances.<\/p>\n<p>In the unlikely event of inclement weather necessitating a postponement or cancellation, information will be shared on the town of Princeton website, https:\/\/www.town.princeton. ma.us\/, as well as through the town\u2019s electronic communication channels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rutland<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>RUTLAND &#8211; American Legion ceremonies, May 29.<br \/>\n7 a.m.: Meet at Community Hall, lower level, get all flags and equipment ready, prepare participants for their places.<br \/>\n7:45 a.m.: Travel in vehicles to the following locations:<br \/>\nNew Boston Cemetery, Charnock Hill Road, assemble, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, taps;<br \/>\nWest Rutland Cemetery, Barre-Paxton Road, assemble, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, taps;<br \/>\nBrooks Square, Prescott Street at Maple Avenue, assemble, wreath, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, flag, taps;<br \/>\nMemorial Field, Memorial Drive, assemble, wreath, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, flag, taps;<br \/>\nVeterans Memorial, behind Wood House, 232 Main St., assemble, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, flag, taps.<br \/>\nReturn to Community Hall for coffee.<br \/>\n9:45 a.m.: Assemble for Parade \u2013 in front of Community Hall.<br \/>\n10 a.m.: Parade starts, Main Street, Community Hall to Rural Cemetery:<br \/>\nRural Cemetery Central Area, march to site, wreath, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, taps;<br \/>\nRural Cemetery Pond, march to site, flowers\/water, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, taps.<br \/>\nParade returns up Main Street to town commons; town Common WWI Memorial and Old Burial Grounds, march to site, wreath, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, flag, taps;<br \/>\nCommunity Hall Common Memorials, march to site, wreath, prayer &amp; reflections, rifle salute, flag, taps.<\/p>\n<p><b>Sterling<\/b><\/p>\n<p>STERLING \u2014 The Hiram O. Taylor American Legion Post 189 has announced that Sterling\u2019s annual Memorial Day Parade will be held Monday, May 29, 2023, beginning at 11 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery. Buses for participants will start running at 10 a.m. from the Legion Hall on School Street to the fire station on Main Street, then to Hillside Cemetery on Route 62. Marchers will begin formation at 10:45 a.m. The parade will proceed to Oak Hill Cemetery, Old Cemetery, the Memorial Area behind the fire station, and to the town common for the observance program.<\/p>\n<p>The Avenue of Flags will be on display from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery, weather permitting.
