I am Kirsten Newman, and I am asking for your vote to become the newest member of the Sterling Select Board.<\/p>\n
As a current member of the Planning Board, and through my work as an elections official, I have had the opportunity to meet many of the wonderful people of Sterling, and learn the ins and outs of how the town is run.<\/p>\n
I often take the time to attend or review a variety of town board and committee meetings to get a good understanding of the role that each plays in the overall governance of our town, and have developed a great working relationship with at least one member from each of these boards and committees. I look forward to strengthening these relationships and collaborating with everyone who serves Sterling to ensure that our town continues to be the quaint and welcoming town that we all love to call home.<\/p>\n
I, along with my husband and two daughters (ages 17 and 20) moved to Sterling from Holden five years ago to escape the never-ending building and traffic that has consumed that area, and I could not be happier to be here.<\/p>\n
I am originally from San Jose, California, where I worked as an executive administrator for a couple of tech startups. Currently, I work as a personal trainer by appointment only, so I have plenty of time to commit to the town of Sterling as a member of the Select Board, and all of the daily responsibilities associated with the role.<\/p>\n
