The Writing Center was established in 1987 to help all Hamilton students strengthen their writing abilities.<\/p>\n<p>Writing Center tutors are trained to review such aspects of student work as clarifying ideas, developing a thesis, organizing stages of an argument and strengthening specific language. They work with their fellow students on any type of writing at any point in the process, from brainstorming potential topics or arguments to polishing a final draft.<\/p>\n<p>Nominated by faculty members, those chosen as tutors must demonstrate strong writing skills and relate well to their peers. They are considered to be among the best students at Hamilton. In a typical year, Writing Center tutors conduct approximately 3,000 conferences.<\/p>\n<p>Mizerak, a sophomore, is a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School.<\/p>\n<p>\n        <b>Lasell University<\/b>\n      <\/p>\n<p>NEWTON \u2014 <b>Jamie Quinn <\/b>of Rutland joined the Lasell University community this fall. Quinn is majoring in graphic design. The fall semester at Lasell has been a busy one for new and returning students alike; the community celebrated the new academic year at its annual UBelong festival and showcased original student research and scholarship at the Connected Learning Symposium.<\/p>\n<p>\n        <b>MCPHS dean\u2019s list<\/b>\n      <\/p>\n<p>BOSTON \u2014 <b>Timothy Sawyer <\/b>of Princeton has been named to the dean\u2019s list at MCPHS University for the summer 2022 semester. Sawyer is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He will graduate from the Worcester campus in 2022.
