He said the resurfacing project had been moved up, potentially happening in the fall, although it could be delayed until the spring of 2023. The $2.7 million project \u201cis planned to be funded through the 2022 Transportation Improvement Program for the Central Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization,\u201d according to the Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n<p>Lukes said the goal with the current work was to take care of drainage and other issues so that the road does not have to be dug up later, after resurfacing work is done.<\/p>\n<p>He said the work should take a couple of months.
