Beauregard collects CSC Academic All-District Honors

WALTHAM – The 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Baseball Team includes two seniors from Bentley University, first baseman Eddy Beauregard of Paxton, a Wachusett Regional High School graduate, and catcher Brian Lindsay of New Durham, New Hampshire. Both will now advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.

Slow start won’t stop boys’ lacrosse

HOLDEN — Wachusett Regional High’s Anthony DelNegro notched a hat trick and teammate Matt Dickinson chipped in with a pair of goals, but it was not enough to stop visiting Groton-Dunstable who held on for the win, 11-6, on April 25. The loss dropped the Mountaineers’ record on the season to 2-6, but don’t count out this intrepid bunch that is anxious and has the skillset to reverse fortunes.

RUTLAND — On Thursday during April vacation, Andrew Hill, 8, and his father, BJ Hill, walked from Rutland Center to Holden Center (5.5 miles). Andrew’s favorite part was stopping for pancakes at the Route 122 Diner.

But when results don’t always lean in the hoped-for direction, there needs to be willingness to piece together the formula that can unite and hopefully right the ship.

Wachusett girls’ lacrosse scores 23 against Nashoba

HOLDEN — When the Wachusett High girls’ varsity lacrosse team netted a pair of goals in the first 90 seconds of their matchup with visiting Nashoba Regional High on April 22, it should have been taken as a harbinger of big things to come.
