RUTLAND — The Rutland Historical Society is accepting scholarship applications. The scholarships are offered to any two Rutland high school seniors planning to enter college who have resided in the town of Rutland for at least two years. The two $500 awards are based on scholarship, with an emphasis given to involvement and contributions in the areas of both school and community.

HOLDEN — The 68th Annual Wachusett Regional High School Science Fair was held March 1. Forty students from the high school participated, and the top 12 students won awards and competed at the Worcester Regional Science and Engineering Fair, which was held at WPI March 10. PAXTON — The Paxton Woman’s Club is offering two $1,000 scholarships for graduating Paxton high school seniors. An applicant must be a Paxton resident, must be a high school senior graduating this year, and must be pursuing their education at a college or an institute of higher vocational training.

HOLDEN — Holden Grange is offering its W. Sumner and Howard L. Jordan Scholarship in the amount of $800 to a graduating high school senior or a student in attendance at any recognized institution of learning beyond high school who has not received this scholarship previously.
