Community gathers for Lights in Common

PRINCETON – For more than 30 years, a simple and beautiful holiday festival has taken place each December on the town common. Residents, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts meet at the gazebo for holiday songs and lighting of trees on the common under the musical direction of Patsy Mollica and her husband, John.

Todorov Toy Drive STERLING — The Elizabeth Todorov Toy Drive for the UMass Memorial Children’s Child Life Medical Center continues this year, the 20th year in a row. Due to Covid-19, donations of toys must be only new and unopened items.

Princeton native, team win relay at Vermont 50

PRINCETON — Crossing the Vermont 50 finish line in September along with her father and husband was an amazing feeling for town native Colleen Sands, one made even sweeter as they took first place in the team relay run category.

Mizerak is writing center tutor CLINTON, New York — Elise Mizerak of Holden has been chosen to serve as a tutor in the Nesbitt-Johnston Writing Center at Hamilton College for the 2022-23 academic year. The Writing Center was established in 1987 to help all Hamilton students strengthen their writing abilities.

The Henry David Thoreau Foundation is offering scholarships to Massachusetts high school graduates. The Thoreau scholarships are up to $26,000 four-year scholarships awarded to eight students graduating from public or private high schools in Massachusetts.
