In 2017, my husband and I moved our young family to Sterling for the opportunities offered within this community, including the school district.

RUTLAND — The Rutland Historical Society is accepting scholarship applications. The scholarships are offered to any two Rutland high school seniors planning to enter college who have resided in the town of Rutland for at least two years. The two $500 awards are based on scholarship, with an emphasis given to involvement and contributions in the areas of both school and community.

I’m a retired lieutenant from the Worcester Police Department, and I served as Emergency Management Director, Homeland Security Coordinator, and several command and management positions in the police department.

Pan-Mass Challenge sets $70M fundraising goal

BOSTON — After raising an unprecedented $69 million in 2022, the Pan-Mass Challenge, the two-day bikea- thon across Massachusetts that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic event in the country, intends to lift the fundraising bar once again. The organization recently announced its 2023 fundraising goal for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute: a record $70 million.

Rutland Heights breaks ground as Harmony Place

RUTLAND — On a hill overlooking Rutland once stood the buildings of Rutland Heights. Today, there is open ground, the buildings having been removed after the hospital closed, while the town sought to put the site to new use.
