New location expands possibilities for Joshua Allen Design

STERLING — Joshua Halterman and his team had a lot to celebrate in March, including five years in business and a new location for his design firm. The town resident launched Joshua Allen Design in late 2017 out of the home he shares with his husband and their two young children.

Wachusett budget waits on Paxton, Princeton

REGION — With three of the five Wachusett Regional School District towns having approved the school budget and town assessments at their annual town meetings, the final votes will come in June. Holden approved its assessment May 15, Sterling on May 1 and Rutland on May 6, with its approval contingent on an override that passed in the town’s election.

MEMORIAL DAY EVENTS

HOLDEN — Holden’s annual Memorial Day parade starts at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 29. The parade stops first at St. Mary’s Cemetery, where Taps will be played. Next stop is Grove Cemetery, then Park Avenue Cemetery and Main Street Cemetery. Taps will be played at those cemeteries as well.

HOLDEN — Registration for summer music lessons is now open at the Wachusett Regional High School AIR (Artist-In-Residence) Program, offering music instruction for a variety of instruments and voice.

Beauregard collects CSC Academic All-District Honors

WALTHAM – The 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Baseball Team includes two seniors from Bentley University, first baseman Eddy Beauregard of Paxton, a Wachusett Regional High School graduate, and catcher Brian Lindsay of New Durham, New Hampshire. Both will now advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
