Book lover’s volumes benefit First Congregational

PAXTON - The town common was encircled by tables filled with books last Saturday, Sept. 17. Lots and lots of books. Oh, and a couple tables of baked goods were there as well, although they were not as full by 10 a.m. as they had been at the start of the book and bake sale an hour earlier.

Partner with Princeton event slated for Oct. 1

PRINCETON — The police department will be hosting its first Partner with Princeton community event on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Heritage Bible Chapel on Brooks Station Road. The event is being presented as an opportunity for the public to get to know local officers, fire personnel, participate in family friendly activities, and more.

Endicott College to host climate experts BEVERLY — Endicott College, located along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, will host Julian Aguon, environmental lawyer and writer, and Johanna Chao Kreilick, president of the Union of Concerned Scientists, at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, in the Klebanoff Auditorium in the Curtis L. Gerrish School of Business and Ginger Judge Science Center.

Rutland concerts on the common RUTLAND — Only two more concerts in the Rutland 300th Anniversary Committee’s Friday Concert on the Common series. The evening concerts include a beer tent and varying food trucks.

Tyler’s Teammates take field at WooSox

WORCESTER — At Paxton Day at Polar Park on Saturday, Sept. 3, Paxton residents helped raise at least $885 for Tyler’s Teammates, a WooSox Foundation program that honors the memory of Tyler Trudell, who peacefully passed away May 13, 2021.
