Plant sale draws growing types

HOLDEN — A little drizzle is good for most plants, as members of the Holden Garden Club will tell you.

The club set out many plants on Saturday, May 18, next to the Damon House, and were not disappointed by the turnout.

A steady stream of customers perused the plants, pondered the possibilities, and transported their treasures to their vehicles on a slightly wet morning.

The annual sale is the club’s only fundraiser, and is a perennial favorite among locals.
