Sterling voting for library race, increasing Select Board

STERLING — Voters at the Monday, May 13, town election will have only one contested race to decide. Three people are running for two seats on the Board of Library Trustees: Donald Carter III, Audrey Cutler and incumbent Amanda Sayut.

Voters will also be able to weigh in on expanding the size of the Select Board from three to five members, which was approved at last year’s town meeting.

The rest of the seats on the ballot are uncontested:

Board of Assessors, three years, incumbent Donlin Murray;

Board of Health, three years, Richard Lane, who is currently filling the two-year seat; and two years, Gail Hassett;

Select Board, three years, incumbent Maureen Cranson;

Department of Public Works Board, three years, incumbent Andrew Parker;

Town Moderator, three years, Richard Lane;

Planning Board, five years, Eric Newman;

Sterling Municipal Light Board, three years, incumbent Eric Darlington; and

• Wachusett Regional School District Committee, three years, Melissa Wallace.
