Housing for Holden

We know Holden is growing and we need more housing, not all of which can be single family homes.

Holden’s master plan and the MBTA zoning rule both encourage zoning for multifamily housing, which can be anything from a duplex to a triple-decker or an apartment building. Actual construction would probably occur over 10 to 15 years.

If we plan our zoning by the December deadline, we can control this process; if not, the state may step in and do it for us.
