Clark Univ. dean’s list

WORCESTER — The following local residents were named to Clark University’s fall 2023 dean’s list:

MWCC honors lists

GARDNER — Mount Wachusett Community College has announced its dean’s and president’s lists for the fall 2023 semester. Students who complete a minimum of 12 semester hours are eligible. The dean’s List requires a 3.30 to 3.99 grade point average, while the president’s list requires a 4.0 grade point average.

MWCC has also added new recognition for students who attend part-time. Students who have earned between 6 and 11.5 semester hours and attained a grade point average of 4.0 and receive no incomplete grades are honored with placement on the distinction list, while those who attain a grade point average between 3.3 and 3.99 are honored as excellence list members.

Local students named to the lists:

WPI dean’s list

WORCESTER — A total of 2,299 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s fall 2023 dean’s list. The criteria for the WPI Dean’s List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

The following local students were named to the fall 2023 dean’s list:

Holden: Marc Godbout-Chouinard, Claire Higginson, Justin Ho, Christopher Lam, Noah Pins and Hao Wang.

Paxton: Jacob Ruppert.

Princeton: Sophie Brochu and Corbin Narita.

Holy Cross dean’s list

WORCESTER — More than 1,600 students were named to the College of the Holy Cross’ dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year. The following local students made the list:

Jack Gould, Molly Vinton and Abigail White of Holden; Riley Peck of Paxton; Kyra Ceryanek of Princeton; Samantha Shea of Rutland; and Liam Martin of Sterling.

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Emmanuel College dean’s list

BOSTON — In recognition of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College in Boston has named more than 900 students to the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. To earn a spot on the dean’s list, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Local students named to the dean’s list are Cayson Branconier, Ronald Premo, Anna St. Germain, Lily Casey and Gemma Cosgrove of Holden; and Christian Porcaro and Brighid Kirton of Rutland.

Muhlenberg College dean’s list

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Lilliana Savino of Holden was named to the Muhlenberg College dean’s list for the Fall 2023 semester. Muhlenberg College students and Muhlenberg College School of Continuing Studies students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for this academic achievement.

York College of PA dean’s list

YORK, Pa. — Matthew Scardigno of Sterling, a mechanical engineering major and member of the class of 2025 at York College of Pennsylvania, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester.

Dean College dean’s list

FRANKLIN — Dean College has announced the students who have earned a place on the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. The following local students were named to the list: Kate Dube of Princeton; Kayla Howe and Hannah Rutkiewicz of Rutland; and Malak Alkushtaree of Sterling.

Univ. of New England dean’s list

BIDDEFORD and PORTLAND, MAINE— The following local students have been named to the dean’s list for the 2023 fall semester at the University of New England. Dean’s list students have attained a grade point average of 3.3 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.

Alyssa Moughan of Holden; Abigail Tasca of Paxton; Matthew Piltzecker of Rutland; and Bryan Corvelo and Nadezhda Gauthier of Sterling.

Nichols College president’s, dean’s lists

DUDLEY — More than 215 students at Nichols College in Dudley have achieved president’s list honors during the fall 2023 semester. President’s list recognizes those students who achieve high grades during a single semester. Students whose semester average is 3.85 or higher for at least 12 undergraduate credit-hours and no grades below B- will receive president’s list honors.

The following local students earned president’s list honors for the fall 2023 semester: Christopher Charity of Holden; Gabrielle Case of Paxton; and Joseph Collard of Rutland.

Marissa Gosselin of Holden is one of more than 220 students who achieved dean’s list honors during the fall 2023 semester at Nichols College. Dean’s list recognizes those students who achieve high grades during a single semester. In order to be included on the dean’s list, a student must have a minimum average of 3.5 for at least 12 undergraduate credit-hours and must have received no grades below B- during the semester.

Curry College dean’s list

MILTON — Curry College congratulates roughly 800 students who were named to the fall 2023 dean’s list.

Local students with dean’s list status: Keegan Greene, Kate Hancock and Morgan O’Brien of Holden; Colman Dyer, Ryan Larsen and Lucas Pasternak of Sterling.

Emerson College dean’s list

BOSTON — Emerson College student Julia Cross of Paxton is named to the college’s dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. The requirement to make dean’s list is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester. Cross is majoring in media arts production and is a member of the class of 2024.

Coastal Carolina Univ. president’s, dean’s lists

CONWAY, S.C. — Mia Cassella and Vanessa Gangi, both of Holden were among the more than 1,300 students who earned a spot on the president’s list for the fall 2023 semester at Coastal Carolina University. Students who made the president’s list have achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the semester.

Ava Aulizio and Cole McLear of Paxton were among the more than 3,000 undergraduate students at Coastal Carolina University who were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Students who make the dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (3.25 for freshmen) for the semester.

Hamilton College dean’s list

CLINTON, N.Y. — The following local residents were named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College for the 2023 fall semester: Elise Mizerak and Mia Piscitani of Holden, and Allison Yanco of Princeton.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have carried a course load of four or more graded credits throughout the semester and earned an average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Univ. of Mississippi chancellor’s honor roll

UNIVERSITY, MS — The University of Mississippi announced students named to the fall 2023 honor roll lists, including chancellor’s honor roll. Chancellor’s honor roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.

Brendan Liddy and Isabella Wnek of Holden and Edward Bennett of Paxton.

To be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

Saint Michael’s College dean’s list

COLCHESTER, Vt. — Samuel E. Curtis of Holden was named to the dean’s list at Saint Michael’s College for the fall 2023 semester. Students who complete at least 12 credits of classes and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.5 in a particular semester are cited on the dean’s list for that semester.

Fairfield Univ. dean’s list

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The following local Fairfield University students received dean’s list honors for the fall 2023 semester. To be placed on the dean’s list, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in a semester, have no outstanding or incomplete grades for that semester, and have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better.

Univ. of Tampa dean’s list

TAMPA, Fla. — The University of Tampa has honored 2,217 students who were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list.

The following local students were named to the dean’s list: Declan Cady and Maila Halvorsen, both of Rutland.

Western New England Univ. dean’s, president’s lists

SPRINGFIELD — Western New England University is proud to announce that Janelle Mensah of Rutland has been named to the president’s list for the fall semester of 2023. Students are named to the president’s list for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.

Bismarck State College graduate

BISMARCK, N.D. — Christian Paquette of Holden has completed the coursework to graduate from Bismarck State College with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Management in Fall 2023.

Fall 2023 graduates are eligible to walk in BSC’s 84th commencement ceremony on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Bismarck Event Center.

Univ. of Tampa graduate

TAMPA, Fla. — Duncan Lavine of Holden graduated from The University of Tampa on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023. Lavine received a Master of Science in criminology and criminal justice.
