Univ. of Mississippi chancellor’s honor roll

UNIVERSITY, Ms. — The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Fall 2023 Honor Roll lists, including chancellor’s honor roll, which is reserved or students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.

The following local students made the list: Brendan Liddy and Isabella Wnek of Holden and Edward Bennett of Paxton.

Regis College dean’s list

WESTON — Regis College has announced the university’s fall 2023 dean’s list, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements. To earn a spot on the dean’s list, Regis sophomores, juniors, seniors, and professional studies students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher; first-year students must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Additional criteria can be found in Regis’ Academic Catalog.

Local student’s name to Regis’ dean’s list: Andre Rodriguez of Holden, Madigan Burgess of Rutland, and David Francis and Emmanuel Francis of Sterling.

Elms College dean’s list

CHICOPEE — The College of Our Lady of the Elms has named the following local students to the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Named to the list are Seamus Higgins of Rutland and Piper Bennett of Sterling.

UDallas dean’s list

IRVING, Texas — Nearly 500 University of Dallas undergraduate students were named to the fall 2023 dean’s list for earning a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher. Local students named to the list are Jonathan Forkey of Princeton and Catherine Contonio of Sterling.

Cedarville Univ. dean’s list

CEDARVILLE, Ohio — Emma Landadio of Sterling was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Cedarville University. Students receive this recognition for obtaining a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester and carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Univ. of Alabama dean’s list

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Annika Gunnard of Rutland was named to The University of Alabama dean’s list for fall semester 2023. A total of 13,950 students enrolled during fall semester 2023 at the university were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0.

Univ. of Rhode Island dean’s list

KINGSTON, R.I. — The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the fall 2023 dean’s list. Local students named to the list are: Matt Claussen, Kyle Gunning and Katie McCarthy of Holden; Connor Hodgkins, Thomas Mason, Grace Whittier and Delainey Witt of Princeton; Grace Marrier, Abby Menice and Brenna Ward of Rutland; and Elise Newman of Sterling.

To be included on the dean’s list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Univ. of Scranton dean’s list

SCRANTON, Pa. — Devin J. Perry of Sterling was among more than 1,600 students named to The University of Scranton’s dean’s list for the 2023 fall semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the dean’s list.

James Madison Univ. president’s, dean’s lists

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Michael Powers of Holden has been named to the president’s list at James Madison University for the fall 2023 semester. Students who earn president’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above.

Talia Jackson of Holden has been named to the dean’s list at James Madison for the fall 2023 semester. Students who earn dean’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

Seton Hall Univ. dean’s list

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. — Seton Hall University has announced that Emma Gingras of Holden has qualified for the fall 2023 dean’s list. After the close of every semester, undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than “C,” qualify for the dean’s list.

Saint Anselm dean’s list

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Saint Anselm College has released the dean’s list of high academic achievers for the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year. To be eligible for this honor, a student must have achieved a grade point average of 3.4 or better in the semester with at least 12 credits of study which award a letter grade. A total of 557 students representing 24 states and five countries received this honor.

The following local students were named to the dean’s list: Ashley Beriau and Colin Moran of Holden; Mary Morkunas of Paxton; Jacob Nadeau of Rutland; and Isabelle Ortiz of Sterling.

Saint Anselm honor society inductees

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Saint Anselm College student Jake Nadeau of Rutland, a business major in the class of 2024, has been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, a national scholar-athlete honor society, for the 2022-2023 academic year. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college students who receive a varsity letter in their sport while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA throughout their junior and/or senior years. Inductees rank among the top student athletes in the country.

Saint Anselm student Mary Morkunas of Paxton, a history major in the class of 2026, was accepted into Alpha Lambda Delta, a national scholastic honor society for first-year success, for the 2022-2023 academic year. To be eligible for invitation, students must be enrolled full-time at an institution with an active chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta and have a 3.5 grade point average or higher in their first semester or first year of study.
