PAXTON — The Paxton Historical Commission will award the Boston Post Cane to the oldest member of the Paxton community at a ceremony at the John Bauer Senior Center, 17 West St., on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m.
Linwood Erskine will be receiving the cane at a ceremony attended by family, friends, and Massachusetts State Rep. Kim Ferguson, who will be presenting him with a certificate of recognition from the Massachusetts Legislature.
The last presentation of the cane was to Virginia Kimball in 2015. All Paxton residents are invited to celebrate this special town event with Mr. Erskine and his family.
