HOLDEN —The Holden Woman’s Club has announced the recipients of the organization’s $2,000 college scholarships.
Ella Bradshaw is the daughter of Tyler and Emily Bradshaw, and
Dennis Jardine is the son of Douglas and Mariann Jardine. Both students are from Holden.
Bradshaw, who plans to attend Sacred Heart University and major in biology, has been a standout academically at Notre Dame Academy, as well as an outstanding athlete, being captain of the varsity basketball team for two years. She has been a member of the business club, the science club and the Spanish club. Ella received the LeMoyne College Book Award as a junior, has completed 120 hours of community service, and has volunteered at Project New Hope and the Animal Rescue League.
Jardine is a member of the graduating class at Wachusett Regional High School and plans to attend Quinnipiac University in hopes of pursuing a career as a physical therapist. He is a member of the National Honor Society and an outstanding athlete. He has played varsity baseball and varsity hockey for WRHS, captained the hockey team and been on traveling teams for both sports. His community service included aid for the elderly, tutoring underclassmen, and volunteering at the Wachusett food pantry.
The Holden Woman’s Club awards its $2,000 scholarship(s) to a Holden graduating student who is continuing his/her education and best represents the goals and aspirations of the organization.
