Wachusett Reservoir Hike
Get to know the Wachusett Reservoir with hikes to rewarding shoreline views of the water supply that provides clean drinking water to more than 3 million people. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring water. In the case of inclement weather, hikes may be canceled or modified. To check on hike status, call 774-261-1809 or email Kathryn.Parent@mass. gov. Free. Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands.
Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. First Day Hike. Meet at Wachusett Reservoir Gate 22, Rt 140, West Boylston. GPS address 167 Temple St., West Boylston. About 2 miles to the shore of Horseshoe Cove and back.
Conant Library
STERLING — Conant Public Library, 4 Meetinghouse Hill Road, is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Adult puzzles available for checkout. Beat boredom this winter with fun new jigsaw puzzles. The library has added adult puzzles to our collection; puzzles can be checked out for three weeks with your library card. Puzzles range from 300 to 1,000 pieces and come in a variety of designs. International Snack Bags. Each bag includes snacks from a particular country, suggestions of books set in that country, and fun facts. Mini Air-Dry Clay Creations. 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29. Spend the afternoon creating miniature air-dry clay creations, while supplies last. Open to kids of all ages, no registration required.
