PAXTON — Despite a drizzle that turned into a steady rain, the Paxton Lions Club carried on with the annual townwide yard sale on May 18.
Booths aplenty were set up on the town common, and a map of more than 20 yard sales in town was available to bargain hunters.

A Lions Club member said that the organization takes in about $1,000 each year from the event, from the sale of listings on the map, town common booth space, map sales and the Lions’ own booth. Proceeds go to the Lions’ philanthropic efforts, including annual scholarships.
