HOLDEN — Town common was the starting point of the townwide yard sale this past Saturday, May 11.
The Holden Girl Scouts once again organized the event, registering yard sales across town. Maps of participating sales were available at the common, and many stopped by to peruse the wares there before heading out on a treasure hunt of their own, made all the more enjoyable by beautiful weather.

Around town, the offerings were many and varied, including children’s toys, furniture, household items, glassware, tools and more.
There were a lot of cars driving slowly around town, some parking dubiously along the sides of roads, but no one seemed to mind. People were very considerate of all the bargain seekers as well, keeping an eye out for pedestrians, especially those with strollers and young children.
