Sterling Street Market is Saturday staple

STERLING — Longtime town resident Jane Morgan started Sterling Street Market in the summer of 2020 as a way for local vendors, crafters, and artists to showcase their work and reach more customers.

It costs nothing for participants to set up, and proceeds from Morgan’s own table benefit the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of New England, which she has been involved with for many years.

People from all over the region and beyond flock to the market, held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Sterling every Saturday, May through October, weather permitting.

Dave Lovell of Holden was one of dozens of vendors set up on the town common May 11, the second week of the market this season. Lovell brought all kinds of his beautiful Woodworks by the Way handcrafted wares, including charcuterie and cutting boards, cribbage and chess sets, and tiny bottles of ‘man glitter’, aka sawdust.
