The Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Salute Breakfast on Thursday, April 4, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the West Boylston Senior Center, 120 Prescott St., West Boylston. This year’s honorees are James and Patricia Hurley of Holden and Amy Wesson of Princeton.
In addition, the chamber will present its “Public Safety Persons of the Year” award to Lt. Daniel Plante, Firefighter Eric Larson, Firefighter Thomas J. McCormack and Frefighter William Nicholson of the West Boylston Fire Department.
The event is being sponsored by Christopher House of Worcester, and the public is invited. The cost is $25 for chamber members, $30 for non-Chamber members.
Each year the Wachusett Area Chamber salutes businesses, individuals and organizations that have made their community a better place in which to live. The Chamber salutes James and Patricia Hurley for their outreach efforts on behalf of St. Mary’s Church and other organizations. Amy Wesson is recognized for her collection efforts to assist families and individuals who are going through difficult times. The West Boylston firefighters, nominated by Fire Chief Mark Sadowski, are receiving the Public Safety award in recognition of their evacuation efforts during the flash flood in Leominster.
