The Miss Worcester County Scholarship Organization is looking for contestants for its competition Saturday, Feb. 17, which will take place at the Northbridge Town Hall in Whitinsville. Snow date is Feb. 18.
The titles of Miss Worcester County, Miss Blackstone Valley, Miss Worcester County’s Teen and Miss Blackstone Valley’s Teen will be awarded.
Women ages 13-28 are eligible to compete, and scholarships will be awarded, along with a prize package including photography, personal branding, interview prep and other prizes.
Contestants compete in five phases of competition: private interview, talent/HERstory, evening wear, fitness wear and on-stage question.
The winners will take part in the Miss Massachusetts’ Teen and Miss Massachusetts competitions, both of which take place in June 2024.
Miss Blackstone Valley’s Teen 2023 Emma Gibney went on to win the title of Miss Massachusetts’ Teen 2023 last May. She was the organization’s first state title winner.
Miss Worcester County 2023 Gabrielle Griffiths earned 4th runner-up at the Miss Massachusetts competition in June.
Competition and rehearsals take place entirely in one day, which is also filled with food, fun and making new friends.
The Miss America Organization is the largest provider of scholarships for women.
Deadline for submission of contestant paperwork is Feb. 12. Entry may close sooner depending on the number of registered contestants.
