HOLDEN — The Presidential Primary is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5. New town residents may register to vote during regular Town Hall hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon. The last day to register to vote or change your political party is Saturday, Feb. 24. The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 24 for voter registration and early voting.
New residents may also register to vote by mail by visiting the Secretary of State’s website, http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleifv/howreg.htm, or by calling the town clerk’s office at 508-21-5530 and requesting an application form be mailed. Complete the form in full and return to the Town Clerk’s Office by Saturday, Feb. 24. The completed voter registration form can be mailed, deposited in the drop box at Town Hall 24/7, or hand-delivered to the clerk’s office.
A new voter registering by mail, in person or through the Registry of Motor Vehicles will receive a written acknowledgment from the Town Clerk’s Office within 10 days of receipt of the form in the clerk’s office.
