Halloween Out & About

This past weekend was a plethora of all things Halloween.

In Holden, visitors had two major activities in which to participate: Halloween in Holden and Halloween at the Red Barn. In Rutland, the library hosted an author fair with more than 30 local writers, with quite a few in costume. In addition, costumed visitors could trick-or-treat through the library, and participate in a costume parade. In Sterling, the annual Village Green Preschool Spooky Walk on Oct. 23 drew record crowds to downtown. Costumed trick or treaters paraded down Main Street to the town common, receiving goodies from businesses and organizations all along the way. A spooktacular party rounded out the celebration, where families and children of all ages enjoyed face painting, food trucks, tarot card reading, witches dancing, and more.
