HOLDEN — Attention Holden residents. A Special State Senate Primary is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 10, to fill Sen. Ann Gobi’s seat.
New residents may register to vote during regular Town Hall hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon. The last day to register to vote is Saturday, Sept. 30, when the town clerk’s office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
New residents may also register to vote by mail. Forms are available at http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleifv/howreg.htm, or call the town clerk’s office and request a form be mailed to you. Complete the form in full and return it to the town clerk’s office, 1196 Main St., by Saturday, Sept. 30. The completed voter registration form can either be placed in the red and white drop box, mailed or hand delivered to the Town Clerk’s Office.
A new voter registering by mail or through the Registry of Motor Vehicles will receive a written acknowledgment from the town clerk’s office within 10 days of receipt of the completed form.
