HOLDEN — The Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce has awarded two $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors who reside in the Wachusett area. This year’s scholarship recipients are Joseph Collard of Rutland and Nova Staruk of West Boylston. Collard graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and plans to attend Nichols College in the fall. Staruk, a graduate of West Boylston Middle/High School, will attend the University of Bridgeport.
The chamber hosts events throughout the year to fund this program, including the Scholarship Scramble Golf Tournament held at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston. To date, the chamber has awarded $117,500 in scholarships to deserving students.
The Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce serves the towns of Boylston, Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland, Sterling and West Boylston. The chamber is an affiliate of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.
