Bradshaw scholarship awardees announced

HOLDEN — The 2023 Jason Bradshaw Memorial Scholarships were awarded at graduation to three Wachusett Regional High School graduating seniors: Catherine King, Haley Luna and Corrin Portev. Each student received $1,000.

Catherine is the daughter of Kendra and Brendan King of Princeton. She will be attending Wesleyan University and will be majoring in neuroscience. She hopes to pursue a graduate degree as an M.D. or Ph.D. She has committed to play for the Wesleyan women’s basketball team.

Haley is the daughter of Michelle Lopez and Genaro Luna of Holden. She will be pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Quinsigamond Community College.

Corrin is the daughter of Peter Portev and the late Abilgail Portev of Worcester and will be attending Quinsigamond Community College to pursue an associate’s degree in psychology.

This year a milestone for the Bradshaw scholarships. The program is in its 30th year.

Scholarships are awarded in memory of Jason S. Bradshaw, Class of 1990. Scholarships are awarded annually to graduating students who have persevered through health, learning or other challenges and who plan to continue their education.
