HOLDEN — The Holden Woman’s Club proudly announces that Joseph Sullivan is the 2023 Person of the Year for his decades of service in so many capacities to the Holden Community.
Joe also received a citation from State Rep. Kim Ferguson for this recognition, read by Geri Herlihy at the award’s recent presentation.
Some of Joe’s contributions to the community are as follows: Joe began in 1988 as president of the Wachusett Area Rotary Club (served twice); Holden’s 250th Anniversary Celebration Committee 1991; Design Review and Study Committee; Holden Select Board 1997-2009; Holden Municipal Electric Power Advisory Board; Help at Home since 2009; Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) 2014-2022; and Holden town moderator 2020-2023. Joe is also very active at St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson.
The Holden Woman’s Club also donates a $100 honorarium to a charity of the Person of the Year’s choice.
