Milotte is NEADS new manager of client services

PRINCETON — NEADS World Class Service Dogs, a leader in the service dog industry, has announced the appointment of Kara Milotte of Holden as its new manager of client services. Milotte will be responsible for matching eligible clients with service dogs through the NEADS comprehensive intake and evaluation process.

Milotte, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, brings more than 15 years’ experience in the field of behavioral healthcare to NEADS. Previously, she worked as a psychiatric social worker at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. In this role, she provided support to patients in both the Emergency Department and the adult psychiatric inpatient settings. With her specialized background in social work, Milotte is equipped to handle inquiries about programs, review applications, interview potential candidates for service dogs, facilitate the matching process and assist clients in preparing for on-campus training. Additionally, she is available to address any concerns that may arise after clients return home.

Milotte holds degrees from Brown University (BA Sociology), Northeastern University (Master of Business Administration), and Boston College (Master of Social Work). She resides in Holden.

I am thrilled to join the NEADS team to continue to advance the mission of enriching people’s lives by connecting them with service dogs who are carefully selected to meet their specific needs. It is an honor to be part of such a well-respected organization that improves the lives of so many, said Milotte.

“As our new manager of client services, Kara has already shown a deep commitment to the NEADS mission and will bring new skills and perspectives to the table,” said NEADS CEO Gerry DeRoche. “Client services often serves as our first point of contact for applicants, and Kara’s knowledge of our programs and strong dedication to helping others will make her an asset to our team.

Katie Hanna, NEADS former manager of client services, is relocating to South Carolina; a U.S. Army veteran, Hanna will continue to consult with NEADS to support its Service Dog for Veterans program.
