NEADS truck pull raises $32K

PRINCETON — NEADS World Class Service Dogs hosted its Pulling 4 Paws Truck Pull at Polar Park in Worcester to support the organization and its Service Dog programs on April 23.

The Pulling 4 Paws Truck Pull returned after a three-year hiatus, and rain did not deter the 15 participating teams from putting their strength to the test to see who could pull an 18-wheeler truck the fastest. A total of $32,306 was raised by the competing teams.

The Litter Mates prevailed in overall fundraising and raised a total of $6,586. Team Litter Mates included NEADS breeding and puppy development staff and volunteers. Donations raised through this event will support a wide range of Service Dog programs that will meet the needs of people with a variety of disabilities or hearing loss.

The Pulling 4 Paws Truck Pull was open to the public and, in addition to the friendly pulling competition that was entertaining for teams and spectators alike, included tours of the park and games for the kids.
