HOLDEN — On May 3, the Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce commemorated the grand opening of JM Scully Jewelers at 697 Main Street. Business owner and on-site jeweler John Scully did the honors of cutting the ribbon — as well as the first piece of cake — to celebrate the occasion.
A Holden resident and professional jeweler for more than 40 years, Scully honed his craft in a number of fine jewelry stores in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, most recently at Pucci’s in West Boylston, where he spent 27 years. After his previous employers sold Pucci’s and retired, John decided to go out on his own. He soft-opened his new business at the former Brilla Coffee location on April 1.
JM Scully Jewelers specializes in jewelry repairs, diamond sales, custom designs and other fine jewelry. Store hours: Tuesdays by appointment; Wednesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.jmscullyjewelers.com or call 508-210-0554.
