PRINCETON — The Citizens’ Caucus to nominate candidates for the May 8 annual town election will be held starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in the Town Hall Annex. All registered voters in Princeton are invited to attend. A quorum of 25 registered voters is required to conduct the caucus.
To be nominated, bring another Princeton voter with you to nominate you for the office you seek. Those nominated at the caucus will automatically have their names placed on the May 8, 2023, annual town election ballot. Two names for each office may be nominated.
Anyone not nominated at the caucus who intends to run for office may do so by taking out nomination papers from the town clerk’s office. Signatures of 20 registered Princeton voters are needed to qualify for placement on the ballot. Nomination papers are available beginning Feb. 21.
Nomination papers must be filed with the Registrars of Voters (town clerk’s office) by 5 p.m. Monday, March 20. The last day to object to nominations or withdraw nomination papers is 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 5.
Offices on the 2023 ballot Board of Assessors: One three-year term and one twoyear term.
Electric Light Commission: One three-year term.
Moderator: One one-year term.
Planning Board: Two threeyear terms.
Select Board: One threeyear term.
Trustee of Trust Funds: One three-year term.
