Nov. 21 12:02 a.m.: Burglar alarm, Calamint Hill Road North. Resident believes it was the wind.

12:49 p.m.: Accident, personal injury, Hubbardston Road.

3:58 p.m.: Animal call, Bigelow and Wheeler roads. Possible rabid porcupine walking in circles in area. ACO advised.

4:22 p.m.: Cable/internet issue, Calamint Hill Road North. Caller reports limited cable and internet access, was advised Charter would not come until tomorrow but she has to work from home. Caller advised this is a Charter issue and they need to go through them.

Nov. 22 5:19 p.m.: 911 – public service, Mountain Road. Caller reports friends were hiking and phone died after trying to call an Uber and are now stranded at the visitor center and cannot get to the commuter rail. Car2 checked visitor center, unable to find anyone. Caller advised they had made it back OK.

Nov. 23 11:03 a.m.: Burglar alarm, Oak Circle. Accidental.

11:37 a.m.: Phone, public service, Town Hall Drive. Walk-in requesting to speak to an officer in regard to her grandson.

12:13 p.m.: Animal call, Brooks Station Road. Caller reports a loose yellow lab. ACO advised. Another party called to say she has the dog. ACO advised and will call.

12:59 p.m.: Power outage/ Light Dept. call, Calamint Hill Road South. Wire hanging low in front of driveway. Light Dept. notified.

2:10 p.m.: Power outage/ Light Dept. call, Ball Hill Road. Caller reports low hanging wire in area. Caller stated it was at the Route t62 end near the horse farm. Light Dept. notified. Light advised phone line is cleared off road.

5:30 p.m.: Disabled motor vehicle, Mountain Road. Caller advised he blew his transmission and has to leave his car in area until approximately 8 p.m. Car5 advised the vehicle still needs to be removed.

Nov. 24 5:12 a.m.: Fire, agricultural burn, Merriam Road.

12:34 p.m.: Phone, erratic operator, Redemption Rock Trail North and Osgood Road. Caller reports erratic operator that has stopped in the area and s reporting someone is slumped over in the front seat.

Nov. 25 12:41 a.m.: 911, threats/ harassment, Ball Hill Road. Caller states he is getting death threats via text after calling escort service. Car6 advises possible legit threat or scare tactic, will be in area. Caller advised to call dispatch if any other messages or calls come through. Area checked, nothing observed.

5:31 p.m.: Phone, threats/harassment, East Princeton Road. Caller advises a stalker from previous calls now knows her address.

6:15 p.m.: Phone, trespassing, Main Street. Car 11 at above location for larceny. Obtained trespass order for involve party.

6:21 p.m.: Motor vehicle violations, Main Street and Leominster Road. Motor vehicle “took off” from officer. Car 11 requests dispatch contact Sterling to be on the lookout. Sterling notified. Worcester man, 31, to be summonsed on charges of failure to stop for police; operating a motor vehicle with suspended license, subsequent offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle; exceeding posted speed limit.

Nov. 26 10:48 p.m.: Suspicious motor vehicle, East Princeton Road.

Nov. 27 9:07 a.m.: Animal call, Ralph Road. Caller reports she was advised to call dispatch every time there was a malamute that ran through her yard and to log it.

4:06 p.m.: Phone, trespass order, Main Street. Involved male trespassed from the location. Info filed.

Sterling

Nov. 8 2:06 p.m.: Traffic stop, Princeton Road. Arrest of Orange man, 25, on a warrant. Prisoner bailed.

3:55 p.m.: 911 Interstate 190. Motorist request assistance stating being harassed by another vehicle. Passing exit 14 northbound. Referred to other agency.

5:02 p.m.: 911 – Motor vehicle accident, property damage, Leominster Road and Main Street. Multiple callers reporting deer strike, animal down in middle of travel lane. Motorist calling reporting struck deer, person not inured. Deer dispatched and claimed.

Nov. 9 6:33 a.m.: Phone – Motor vehicle accident, property damage. Vicinity of Clinton Road. State trooper reporting two car accident on Route 62, in the area of Sterling Street. Tow requested for vehicle.

10:05 a.m.: Phone – Animal complaint, Oakwood Drive. Advises dog out loose on roadway, Oakwood by Karen Drive. Appears may be collie-type dog. Attempt ACO contact. 10:10 a.m.: Same caller reporting neighbors state dog lives there, believe it has an electric fence. Dog has returned to its house. While on phone caller stated dog has again left property. Trying ACO, will try to contact owner also. Message left re Penny.

4:34 p.m.: Phone – Motor vehicle accident, property damage. Redemption Rock Trail and Interstate 190. Motorist requests officer for low speed accident to assist in paper exchange.

6:30 p.m.: Walk-in – Car seat install.

7:18 p.m.: Phone Animal complaint, barking dog, Kendall Hill Road. Caller states neighbor’s large white dog has been outside barking for hours (dog heard in the background). Ongoing problem. Advised ACO will be in tomorrow, transferring to voicemail. Caller requests officer to location to ask owner to make dog stop. Advised will send officer but unsure what actions can be taken tonight. Officer made contact with owner, who stated they are two outside farm dogs. Message to ACO with update.

Nov. 10 1:29 p.m.: Phone Vandalism investigated, Osgood Road. Reports someone has spray painted on his lawn, had to walk well into the yard from the roadway to do so. Believes happened some time yesterday, left, no car in driveway. When returned home was dark so did not notice it. Officer updating advises the marks were made by SMLD for underground utilities for Digsafe.

Nov. 11 3:09 a.m.: Phone – Motor vehicle accident, property damage, Worcester Road. Driver from tow company reporting he was sent to tow a vehicle at this location. Upon arrival he discovered vehicle was involved in a crash with bridge guardrail.

7:22 a.m.: Phone Animal complaint/bear activity, Pamela Lane. Caller advises during night, bear got to his beehives and destroyed them. Does use an electronic fence to help protect them, bear still able to get at hives. Has had issues in past with bear in yard. Will follow up with Mass. Wildlife. Wanted PD aware of activity.

7:58 a.m.: Phone – Motor vehicle accident, property damage, Redemption Rock Trail and Still River Road. Car vs. deer. No injury, accident in Sterling just over the line. Vehicle towed.

Nov. 12 6:43 a.m.: 911 – Animal complaint, Clinton Road. Cow in roadway. Owner returned animal to pen.

1:10 p.m.: Message/summons delivery, Westland Farm Road. Served.

3:21 p.m.: 911 – Motor vehicle accident, personal injury, Metropolitan and Chace Hill roads. Report of single car crash into pole with wires down, occupant injured. SMLD advises no power utilities in that area. Verizon advised and responding at 3:27 p.m. Tow requested. Transporting patient to hospital.

5:55 p.m.: Animal complaint, Bird Street. Caller reports in voicemail to ACO that dog from this address was in the roadway again and when he approached the animal, it ran off.

Nov. 13 9:04 a.m.: Phone – Assist citizen, South Nelson Road. Caller reports male at end of his driveway who isn’t supposed to be there. Active harassment order. Officer finds party no longer on scene at this time, surrounding streets checked, negative contact. Reporting party advised to call PD if he shows up again.

7:44 p.m.: Phone Wildlife issue, Leominster Road and Interstate 190. Motorist reporting dead deer in roadway. Referred to other agency.

9:27 p.m.: Traffic Stop, Worcester and Campground roads. Sterling man to be summonsed. Copy of suspension/ revocation requested from Mass. RMV.

Nov. 14 1:59 a.m.: 911 – Motor vehicle accident, property damage, Worcester Road. Deer struck in area of Maki Lumber. No injuries, damage to vehicle. Damage documented, vehicle driveable. Units moving deer off roadway.

11:54 a.m.: Phone – Animal complaint, Belmont Drive. Reports two loose dogs in area: one golden/lab looking mix, second Boston terrier or pug mix. Not familiar with them in area. Check of license list, no matching.

2:11 p.m.: Summons delivery, Redemption Rock Trail. Party served.

2:55 p.m.: Walk-in, car seat installation.

3:01 p.m.: Phone residential lockout, Loring Way.

4:30 p.m.: Phone Wildlife issue, Taft Road. Request to speak to ACO re concerns of raccoon in vicinity of daycare. ACO responding.

5:32 p.m.: Animal complaint, School Street. ACO confi rmed with owner that she was notified that her ZBA special permit was denied and requested a plan of action from her to become compliant with animal control bylaws. Owner left voicemail for ACO stating that she hired an attorney and will not be rehoming any of her dogs. At this time she is operating an illegal kennel and therefore has been issued a citation for such.

Nov. 15 7:50 a.m.: Phone, animal complaint, bear. Pleasant View Drive. Reports sometime during the night a bear broke into chicken coop and killed two bird. Ripped roof off coop. Advised ACO does not generally deal with wildlife, referred to Wildlife. Resident asked for assistance from ACO keeping chickens safe from bear. Also said lived in residential neighborhood so cannot discharge firearm/shoot bear. Suggested he call environmental PD and Mass Wildlife. Stated he did, environmental police suggested he erect an electric fence and Mass Wildlife “was no help.” Caller stated plans to “hike into the woods and scare away the bear” and requested ACO’s voicemail.

2:10 p.m.: Phone, animal complaint, Bird Street. Resident reports via voicemail that she almost hit a dog from this location. Threatened to take the dog if something is not done. Additional citation issued to owner.
