PRINCETON – For more than 30 years, a simple and beautiful holiday festival has taken place each December on the town common. Residents, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts meet at the gazebo for holiday songs and lighting of trees on the common under the musical direction of Patsy Mollica and her husband, John.
For 29 of those years, the annual event has been called Lights in Common to celebrate the togetherness and unity of spirit that is so easily felt in a small town. A song composed by Patsy Mollica and performed by her and the crowd encapsulates the feeling.
From toddlers to grandparents, all enjoyed hot chocolate to warm tummies and fingers while joining in the holiday cheer Dec. 3.
