During this period, Sterling Fire Department responded to 77 medical emergency calls POLICE LOGS Rutland Oct. 3 7:41 p.m.: Threats. Devereux School – Miles Road. Officer took call. Person advises she has been receiving threats from another student, was previously reported to the school on Sept. 18 and the messages stopped, but person started messaging her again today making threats to harm her tomorrow.
9:44 p.m.: Juvenile returned to family/guarding, Fentress House – Main Street. Staff reported juvenile who would not go back into resident.
9:49 p.m.: Body cam failure reported.
Oct. 4 10:23 a.m.: Recovered property, property returned. C.B. Blair Builders – Valley View Circle. Person in lobby to pick up firearms.
10:38 a.m.: Drug/crime lab services rendered, UMass.
11:15 a.m.: School Resource services, Central Tree Middle School, Main Street.
12:09 p.m.: School Resource services, Glenwood Elementary, Glenwood Road.
1:26 p.m.: Animal call, Johnson’s Farm, Glenwood Road. Reporting about five cows have gotten away from their fences-in area. Animal Control Officer Ford notified.
2:39 p.m.: Motor vehicle collision- fire report. Pine Road under high tension wires Worcester Road. White 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, was towed by Dave’s Tow. Gray 2009 Dodge Ram was towed by Dave’s Tow. Tire came off vehicle and struck the Silverado.
3:31 p.m.: Motor vehicle stop, citation issued, Memorial – Pommugussett Road. White 2017 Honda Pilot. Paxton PD requesting officer for Verizon at Pleasant and Reservoir.
4:04 p.m.: Serve summons paperwork, Pommogussett Road.
4:20 p.m.: Serve paperwork, Maple Avenue. Served witness summons.
4:33 p.m.: Serve summons paperwork, Valley View Circle.
7:16 p.m.: Fire alarm activation false/accidental/defect, Country Side Estates, Maple Avenue. Alarm company reporting a fire alarm activation. On arrive garden style apartments with nothing showing from three sides. Will be ventilating.
7:21 p.m.: Overdose/poisoning, referred to other agency. Sanders Road. Caller reports possible overdose. Request mutual aid, Paxton toned. Transported to hospital.
Oct. 5 5:58 a.m.: Tree incident, referred to other agency, Turkey Hill Road. Caller reports tree in the roadway. DPW advised. 6:16 a.m., 211 and 217 were able to move the tree and it is completely passable. 8:14 a.m.: Unconscious, unresponsive, syncope ambulance signed refusal. Welch Avenue. Ambulance requested for male, 50, who went unconscious after taking prescribed medication. Conscious and alert now.
8:42 a.m.: Motor vehicle collision- fire, area of Ten Rod – Main Street. Caller reported motor vehicle accident between a blue 2011 Nissan Rogue and a gray 2017 Ford Escape.
11:06 a.m.: Fire – cooking fire, permit, 10 Pequot Trail.
12:27 p.m.: Public assist, Bushy Lane, party walk-in requested to speak with an offi cer regarding a no trespass order.
3:50 p.m.: Property list & found, information taken. Traveling from Holden – Main Street. Caller reports lost white wallet last week.
3:54: p.m.: Firearms ID/license to carry, Rutland Public Safety Lobby, 242 Main St., officer spoke to party.

9:07 p.m.: Fall, Main Street. Ambulance requested for a male who fell and is unable to stand. 9:20 p.m.: Request more EMS for a cardiac arrest. 9:29 p.m.: Transporting with three to hospital.
11:14 p.m.: Vandalism report filed. Countryside Building 7 – 176 Maple Ave. white 2011 Toyota SE Venza. Reporting friend’s vehicle’s back window was smashed and slashed tires.
Oct. 6 3:44 a.m.: Bleeding (non-traumatic), Pommugussett Road. Male, 79, bleeding. Transported to hospital.
7 a.m.: Motor vehicle collision, Main Street. Black 2008 Toyota Tacoma and white 2020 Ford Super Duty. Both towed. Two-car accident, one patient lost consciousness, airbag deployed. Second ambulance toned. Entrapment. Mutual aid ambulance from Holden, engine from paxton for Jaws, Holden and Paxton advised. Transport to hospital. One patient extricated. Two refusals from one vehicle.
8:13 a.m.: Breathing difficulty, North Brookfield Road. Ambulance requested for male, 50, with difficulty breathing. Paxton ambulance transported to UMass.
Sterling Oct. 16 10:35 a.m.: 911 – animal complaint, Sholan Terrace. Complaint about a chihuahua running in the street. Person stated this is not his first complaint. Animal Control Officer notified. Citation for loose dog issue Oct. 18.
11:36 a.m.: 911 – fire-medical emergency-EMS, Dana Hill Road. Person removed to hospital.
12:18 p.m.: 911 – fire-medical emergency-EMS, Clinton Road. Person removed to hospital.
9:33 p.m.: Phone, well-being check, Walnut Drive. Person removed to hospital.
Oct. 17 9:52 a.m.: Phone, fire-medical emergency-EMS, Maple Street.
1:40 p.m.: Phone, lost/found property, Birch Drive. Caller advises lost wallet, Coach brand, clutch type, dark teal. Believes was left on top of car. Contained debit card, license, may have had cash. Travelled Route 140 to 62 toward Rutland. Remembers last seeing it Friday, but believes went missing Saturday.
Oct. 18 5:57 a.m.: Disable vehicle, Chockett and Clinton roads. Report of vehicle parked on one of the islands in the intersection. Unit reports vehicle is missing a tire. No one around and cold to touch. Ricky’s en route. Milford PD will send a unit to resident to locate the owner to have them call Sterling PD. Owner advised vehicle was towed.
12:44 p.m.: Bear sighting, Princeton Road. Caller advises bear just ran through yard headed toward Johnson’s Garage. Not a nuisance at this time, just urprised to see it out at this time of day and wanted to report it.
12:55 p.m.: Suspicious person, Maple Street. Caller currently at house that is supposed to be unoccupied. House in under contract with son’e realty offi ce. Son found green SUV with California plate parked there earlier. When arrived vehicle was no longer there. Vehicle has since returned and party went into residence. Has knocked at door, party will not come to door. Requests officer respond. Officer advises that was the current homeowner’s son. He will be in contact with father who is away on vacation via email to confirm appraiser appointment. He may reach out to the realtor to reschedule. He was under the impression the house was not being sold until later in the month.
1:31 p.m.: 911 – fire-medical emergency-EMS, Dana Hill Road. Person removed to hospital.
4:33 p.m.: Phone – Animal Complaint, Quail Roost Drive. Caller reports there is a dead porcupine at the end of her driveway. Animal control officer responding.
4:39 p.m.: Animal complaints, Gates Road. Resident from this location reports a sick-looking coyote across from her residence in the woodline. States animal is being approached by prey animals with no reaction. Negative contact with animal.
5:26 p.m: Phone, suspicious activity, Shady Lane. Resident looking to speak with officer regarding earlier incident at his residence that a neighbor observed. Neighbor stated an olive green Mini Cooper operated by a blonde female drove up his driveway arouond 10:30 a.m. when he was not home.
6:02 p.m.: 911 – fire-medical emergency-EMS, Dana Hill Road. Person removed to hospital.
6:13 p.m.: Animal complaint, Primrose Lane. Caller reports six more incidents with neighbor’s dog. Dates of the incidents are twice today, 10/3, 9/26 and 9/23. She provided photos and videos.
8:46 p.m.: 911 – disabled vehicle, Clinton Road. Report of a disabled vehicle in area of Sterling-Lancaster line. Quality notified and responding. AAA tow from Cranston’s arrived and Quality was canceled.
9:52 p.m.: Phone, disabled vehicle, Justice Hill Cutoff Road. Passer-by reports vehicle blocking road. Units were able to push vehicle off the road, tow coming.
Oct. 19 9:12 a.m.: Traffic stop, Leominster Road and Main Street. Party will be making arrangements for a ride. Certified copy request issue for an Ayer woman for a copy of a suspension/revocation.
9:24 a.m.: Traffic stop, Leominster Road. Passer-by reports person asleep in vehicle parked across from business. Party will be there a couple of hours, child attends daycare at Village Green. Lives in Westborough, did not want to drive all the way home.
9:38 a.m.: 911 – fire-medical emergency-EMS, Osgood Road. Person removed to hospital.
12:49 p.m.: Residential lockout, Main Street. Entry gained.
6:09 p.m.: Assist other police department, Redemption Rock Trail. West Boylston PD requests unit stand by near town line for a disturbance in their town that may involve a firearm. Unit repositioned. West Boylston canceled, no issues found.
6:13 p.m.: Assist other police department, Sterling and South Meadow roads. Unit reports railroad crossing activated, causing major traffic issue with no train in sight. NRCC advised and will be sending out railroad response.
6:33 p.m.: 911 – animal complaint, Upper North Row Road. Delivery driver reporting several bites from homeowner’s dog. No lacerations but significant injury to index finger so it cannot be bent. Homeowner has restrained and brought dog inside. Party declined ambulance. Unit forwarding matter to animal control officer for follow-up.
Oct. 21 8:53 a.m.: Phone, vehicle accident, Dana Hill Road and Redemption Rock Trail. Multiple calls reporting rollover. Cranston and Ricky’s called. Cranston on scene taking white Chevy. Ricky’s there on arrival. Two refusals to hospital. Transported operator of Honda Pilot to Houghton School.
