IFAS had functional and performance limitations, especially in data reporting. Most of the processes within the current IFAS system were manual and had limited functionality. With growth projected over the next decade, the City recognized the need to improve its ability to deliver services and reduce operational costs using modern technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-d1e927d\" id=\"strong-cherry-road-helped-city-of-roseville-modernize-systems-by-implementing-oracle-cloud-erp-strong-div-span-class-ll-at-background-ada-og-font-size-24-px-ada-og-font-family-quot-zilla-slab-quot-ada-og-overflow-visible-ada-og-lineheight-33-6-px-style-box-sizing-border-box-font-weight-700-overflow-visible-line-height-33-6-px-span-div\" data-block-id=\"d1e927d\"><h5 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\"><strong>CherryRoad Helped City of Roseville Modernize Systems By Implementing Oracle Cloud ERP<\/strong><div><span class=\"ll-at-background\" style=\"font-weight: 700;overflow: visible;line-height: 33.6px\"><\/span><\/div><\/h5><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The City of Roseville aimed to improve business processes, gain efficiencies, simplify, and standardize the use of systems by migrating from Sungard\u2019s IFAS to Oracle Cloud ERP. The IFAS system lacked integration to other key systems, a modern-day user interface, as well as other features that are intuitive and common with contemporary systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City desired to deploy and implement a SaaS-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that meets the administrative and business management needs of the City over the next decade including Financial Management, Procurement, Human Capital Management, and Budgeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City chose Oracle Cloud and to execute such an ambitious project, they were looking for a seasoned Oracle services partner, an expert in cloud ERP system implementation, training, and post-production support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After an RFP process in 2016-17, the City chose CherryRoad Technologies as their IT consulting, system migration, and application support partner to assess and transition their workloads from SunGard IFAS to Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM, and PBCS Clouds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CherryRoad was engaged to implement Oracle Cloud for Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Payroll, and Budgeting. Our team was responsible for the following tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business Process Review and Gap Analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configuration of the system along with customizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Workforce time and attendance to Oracle Payroll<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oracle Financial application integrations with 3rdparty systems i.e. Maximo, Cayenta, Accela etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data migration from IFAS to Oracle Cloud Financials Suite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of Custom Reports for business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alignment of business processes with Cloud Oracle design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>End-user and trainer\u2019s training for each module in the Oracle Suite<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go-Live and postproduction support for a year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Active troubleshooting and audit support, reconciliations for the migrated data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The CherryRoad Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project began in July 2017 with the Organization Change Management (OCM) assessments conducted by CherryRoad consultants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a thorough gap analysis, our team along with City officials, drafted a change management and communication management plan to ensure a smooth transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CherryRoad team deployed a cloud-based SaaS ERP solution by Oracle for the City in 2 phases-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Phase 1- 1 year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Oracle Fusion cloud service \u2013 Financials, Procurement, Portfolio management (including grants)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Phase 2- 1 year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Human Capital Management (HCM\/Payroll) and EPM cloud i.e., Planning and Budgeting (PBCS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solution design workshops were conducted, and the training program was developed using the CherryRoad Technologies LearnUpon LMS tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CherryRoad\u2019s implementation approach that stood as a differentiator during this project-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A measured, risk-averse phased implementation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation of the city staff on key project tasks ensuring goal alignment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus on knowledge transfer throughout the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our team followed the \u201cFastTrack Fusion Implementation Methodology\u201d having the phases of Planning &amp; Discovery, Solution Configuration and Prototype, Solution Deployment and Testing, Training, and Implementation, Production Support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CherryRoad ensured client satisfaction by ticking all the checkpoints present in the client\u2019s project success parameters list:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul
